"The Heavenly Banquet: The Last Word"
Rev. Miguel H. Arenas
Beginning Sunday, November 1st, we will have two Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 am and 10:30 am. There is no need to sign up in advance for these services.
We are limiting attendance to 60 persons at each service, which is about 30% of our capacity. Every other pew is blocked off so that we can observe social distancing.
Everyone is asked to wear a mask to and from church, and throughout the church service.
Please do not congregate in the lobby or hallways while at church. Feel free to greet one another while you are in the parking lot. Once you have entered the building, please go directly to the sanctuary.
Please refrain from shaking hands and hugging. Start practicing our new manner of greeting one another by placing your hand upon your heart as a sign that we care for one another.
Your offering may be placed in the offering box as you enter or leave the sanctuary.
There is NO nursery or children's worship during this time.
At Charlton, we prefer not to use terms such as 'traditional' or 'contemporary'. We strive to provide worship experiences that are uplifting and inspirational, and reflect a variety of Christian traditions. Our music is chosen based on the theme of the day, incorporating cherished hymns of the past as well as newer songs of praise.
In addition to our Sunday morning worship services, special services are held throughout the year as we celebrate holy days such as Advent, Christmas Eve, Lent, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
The Psalms remind us that everyone should praise the Lord. At Charlton Church, we strive to do this through a ministry of Worship Arts. The purpose of this program is twofold:
The Sanctuary Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:45 PM. They participate in the Sanctuary Worship service, alternating between services. They also provide musical leadership at special services throughout the year, such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.
The children of Charlton sing at the opening of KIDs Club on Sunday mornings at 9:40 AM. They then sing in worship from time to time.
The handbell choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM and participate in the Sanctuary Worship Service once a month.
